El CEO de LastPass, Karim Toubba, escribió una publicación de blog en el sitio web de la compañía, confirmando que había detectado «actividad inusual» en el entorno de desarrollo del servicio.

LastPass también respondió algunas preguntas pertinentes en una sección de preguntas frecuentes en la publicación, explicando que los datos de la bóveda del usuario, la información personal y las contraseñas maestras no se vieron comprometidas.

La compañía también dijo que no recomienda que los usuarios tomen ninguna acción específica en este momento, como restablecer las contraseñas maestras. Sin embargo, los usuarios de LastPass aún deben usar la autenticación multifactor para obtener la máxima seguridad y tranquilidad.
