Si hay algo en lo que todos podemos estar de acuerdo es que el bloatware puede ser muy molesto. Una nueva función en la vista previa para desarrolladores de Android 14 (DP1) parece indicar que Google puede brindarnos una herramienta para eliminar el bloatware.

Google acaba de lanzar Android 14 DP1 para permitir a los desarrolladores y al público en general probar las aguas antes de su lanzamiento oficial. Los propietarios de teléfonos Pixel que van desde Pixel 4a 5G hasta Pixel 7 Pro pueden instalar la vista previa de Android 14 ahora mismo.

Según un informe de Desarrolladores XDA, parece que hay un menú oculto en el sistema operativo. Este menú se llama ‘Aplicaciones instaladas en segundo plano’. El menú parece estar en una versión alternativa de Configuración llamada «Spa». Para llegar a Spa, según los informes, debe voltear dos banderas de desarrollador ocultas para que aparezca.

Este menú usaría una función llamada «Control de instalación en segundo plano» para monitorear las aplicaciones instaladas en segundo plano. Todas las aplicaciones que se descargan silenciosamente en segundo plano aparecerán en este menú. Luego puede desplazarse por el menú para eliminar las aplicaciones que no desea.

Supuestamente, este servicio apareció hace unos meses en el Proyecto de código abierto de Android (AOSP), un repositorio de proyectos de código abierto para desarrollar sistemas operativos para Android.

Con una característica como esta, sería mucho más fácil encontrar y eliminar bloatware en su dispositivo. Esto podría ser especialmente útil para el Samsung Galaxy S23, que parece estar plagado de bloatware.
