Galaxy S23+ llega con Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Hace unas semanas, las variantes estadounidenses de los próximos Galaxy S23 y Galaxy S23 Ultra de Samsung aparecieron en la plataforma de referencia Geekbench, confirmando algunas especificaciones. El tercer modelo de la serie, a saber, el Galaxy S23+, ahora ha seguido a sus hermanos a Geekbench. Ha aparecido en la plataforma de referencia con el número de modelo SM-S916U, que también hemos visto en filtraciones en el pasado. Los dos primeros modelos Galaxy S23 se identifican como SM-S911U y SM-S918U respectivamente. La «U» al final indica las variantes de la aerolínea estadounidense. Samsung usa diferentes sufijos según el mercado, como «N» para Corea del Sur.

El Galaxy S23+ también aparece en Geekbench

La lista de Geekbench para el Galaxy S23+ confirma el procesador. El dispositivo obtendrá el mismo conjunto de chips Qualcomm que el resto de la línea. Es el Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 no anunciado, que debería ser oficial a finales de este mes. Se dice que este procesador de ocho núcleos, cuyo nombre en código es Kalama, tiene una configuración de CPU de cuatro grupos. Tiene un núcleo principal ARM Cortex-X3 a 3,36 GHz, dos núcleos medios Cortex-A715 a 2,80 GHz, dos núcleos medios Cortex-A710 a 2,80 GHz y tres núcleos de bajo consumo Cortex-A510 a 2,02 GHz. Qualcomm combina la CPU con la GPU Adreno 740.

El Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 es un conjunto de chips de 4 nm fabricado por TSMC. Combinado con la última arquitectura de CPU de ARM, esto debería dar un impulso significativo al rendimiento de la computadora y al consumo de energía. También hemos oído hablar de un rendimiento de GPU y NPU (unidad de procesamiento neuronal) muy mejorado. Además, la serie Galaxy S23 debería contar con la tecnología de almacenamiento UFS 4.0 y RAM LPDDR5X más reciente y rápida de Samsung para un rendimiento general más rápido del teléfono. En cuanto a las puntuaciones de Geekbench, el Galaxy S23+ logró 1485 puntos en la prueba de un solo núcleo y 4844 puntos en la prueba de varios núcleos en Geekbench v5.4.4.

Esta entrada de Geekbench muestra el nuevo buque insignia de Samsung con el software Android 13 y 8 GB de RAM (vía). Pero la empresa coreana debería ofrecer más RAM y configuraciones de almacenamiento. Esperamos hasta 12 GB de RAM y 512 GB de almacenamiento ampliable. Otros rumores sobre el Galaxy S23+ incluyen una batería un poco más grande (4700 mAh), cámaras mejoradas con posible estabilización por cambio de sensor, el último software personalizado One UI 5.1 de Samsung y una pantalla mejorada. Deberíamos aprender más sobre los próximos buques insignia de Galaxy antes de su lanzamiento.
