Galaxy S23 Ultra aparece en línea con Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Poco después del Galaxy S23, el Galaxy S23 Ultra de Samsung también apareció en un punto de referencia en línea. La versión estadounidense del próximo buque insignia de Galaxy (número de modelo SM-S918U) apareció recientemente en la plataforma de referencia Geekbench y confirmó algunas de sus especificaciones clave. Los puntajes de Geekbench son comparables al modelo vainilla (SM-S911U).

Como era de esperar, el Galaxy S23 Ultra funciona con el mismo conjunto de chips que el Galaxy S23. Con nombre en código Kalama, es el próximo procesador insignia Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 de Qualcomm. La CPU de ocho núcleos tiene un núcleo principal ARM Cortex-X3 con frecuencia de 3,36 GHz, cuatro núcleos medios Cortex-A710 con frecuencia de 2,80 GHz y tres núcleos de bajo consumo Cortex-A510 con frecuencia de 2,02 GHz. Contará con la GPU Adreno 740 y una serie de otras mejoras, incluida una NPU (unidad de procesamiento neuronal) mejorada.

La lista de Geekbench muestra el Galaxy S23 Ultra con 8 GB de RAM. Probablemente sea la variante básica. Samsung también debería ofrecer el teléfono en la opción de 12 GB de RAM, con múltiples configuraciones de almacenamiento. Se espera que el dispositivo debute con Android 13 a bordo, que contará con el software One UI personalizado de la compañía coreana. Probablemente obtendrá One UI 5.1. El primer lanzamiento de Android 13 de Samsung viene con One UI 5.0 y se implementará en la serie Galaxy S22 a finales de este mes.

En cuanto a los puntajes de referencia, el Galaxy S23 Ultra logró 1521 puntos en la prueba de un solo núcleo y 4689 puntos en la prueba de varios núcleos en Geekbench v5.4.4 (vía). Los puntajes están en el mismo rango que el modelo vainilla, que obtuvo 1524 y 4597 respectivamente en las dos pruebas. Como referencia, los puntajes Geekbench del Galaxy S22 Ultra serían de alrededor de 1200 para pruebas de un solo núcleo y 3300 para pruebas de varios núcleos. Por lo tanto, su sucesor se desempeña mucho mejor. Y todavía hay margen de mejora, ya que es probable que se trate de una unidad prototipo temprana con software no optimizado.

Samsung puede enviar el Galaxy S23 con el procesador Snapdragon en todo el mundo

La serie Galaxy S23 puede venir con el procesador Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 dondequiera que compre. Ese no es el caso de la serie Galaxy S22, o antes de eso. Samsung suministra esos teléfonos con su propio chipset Exynos 2200 en Europa y algunos otros mercados. Personas como EE. UU., China e India obtienen el Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
