Galaxy Z Fold 5 obtiene una actualización de almacenamiento rápida, pero Flip 5 puede quedarse atrás

Cuando se lanzó la serie Samsung Galaxy S23, venía con un chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 para Galaxy junto con Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 4.0. Un nuevo informe sugiere que los próximos dispositivos plegables de Samsung también podrían aprovechar la tecnología UFS 4.0, pero una versión del Galaxy Z Flip 5 podría quedarse atrás.

Según el medio, el Fold 5 debería venir en variantes de 256 GB, 512 GB y 1 TB. En cuanto al Flip 5, se espera que Samsung ofrezca modelos de 128 GB, 256 GB y 512 GB.

Además, es de suponer que estos teléfonos también vendrán con almacenamiento UFS 4.0. Esto quizás no sea demasiado sorprendente dado que también se espera que los dispositivos plegables de Samsung usen la misma versión del procesador S23 o una mejorada. Sin embargo, lo que es una sorpresa es que puede haber una variante que no tenga la opción de guardado rápido.

La variante en cuestión podría ser la variante de 128 GB del Flip 5. Al ser la opción más rentable del grupo, parece que este teléfono se quedará atascado con UFS 3.1.

Si bien UFS 4.0 es mucho más rápido que sus predecesores, el uso de UFS 3.1 no debería tener mucho impacto en la experiencia del usuario. Probablemente solo notará la diferencia cuando coloque el Flip 5 y el Fold 5 uno al lado del otro.
