Google Photos está probando una nueva función de búsqueda que le permite encontrar personas en función de sus rostros

La aplicación Google Photos parece estar probando una nueva función de búsqueda útil. La función ha reemplazado el botón Google Lens en la aplicación para algunas personas.

Al ver fotos en el visor de imágenes en Google Photos, es posible que haya notado el ícono de Google Lens entre las opciones para compartir, editar y eliminar en la parte inferior de la pantalla. Al tocarlo, puede hacer de todo, desde traducir palabras hasta encontrar imágenes similares en la web. Sin embargo, eso realmente no ayuda cuando busca personas a través de sus propias fotos.

Pero, como descubrió policía androide, parece que Google está probando una nueva función de búsqueda que debería facilitar un poco la búsqueda de personas. Cuando la función se usa en una imagen con una cara, la función de búsqueda detectará la cara y realizará una búsqueda inversa para encontrar otras fotos con esa cara.

Si bien el botón de Google Lens ha sido reemplazado por el nuevo botón de búsqueda para algunos, no parece estar reemplazando a Google Lens. De hecho, es más una mejora de lo que ya estaba allí.

Cuando tocas una cara, la aplicación aparentemente te muestra otras fotos con esa persona. Pero si tocas cualquier otra parte de la foto que no sea la cara, la aplicación vuelve a cambiar sin problemas a Google Lens.

Dado que parece que el botón solo apareció para algunos usuarios de Android, probablemente sea solo una prueba limitada. Entonces, si no lo ve en su aplicación Google Photos, no está solo.
