Google Play Store lanza un martillo contra las aplicaciones de imitación y algunos anuncios en la aplicación

Si descarga aplicaciones de Google Play Store, es posible que haya encontrado y se haya quejado de problemas molestos, como aplicaciones que siguen generando anuncios o aplicaciones y juegos que se parecen a aplicaciones populares. Parece que Google ha escuchado estas quejas y está realizando algunos cambios de política en Play Store (a través de 9to5Google) para deshacerse de este tipo de aplicaciones.

Política de aplicaciones de Google Play Store

Un cambio, que entrará en vigencia el 31 de agosto, prohibirá las aplicaciones que se parecen a otras aplicaciones con sus nombres, logotipos o íconos. Google declaró: «No permitimos aplicaciones que engañen a los usuarios haciéndose pasar por otra persona (por ejemplo, otro desarrollador, empresa, entidad) o cualquier otra aplicación». También publicaron algunos ejemplos de este tipo de aplicaciones y logotipos imitadores que ya no estarán permitidos en Play Store en unas pocas semanas.

Otro gran cambio, que entrará en vigencia el 30 de septiembre, prohibirá los anuncios intersticiales de pantalla completa que «aparecen inesperadamente, generalmente cuando el usuario ha elegido hacer otra cosa». Eso incluye anuncios que aparecen durante el inicio de un juego o antes de la pantalla de carga de una aplicación. Además, todos los anuncios intersticiales en las aplicaciones deben poder cerrarse en 15 segundos o menos para que se permitan en Play Store. Google también publicó algunos ejemplos de los tipos de anuncios en la aplicación que ya no se permitirán después del 30 de septiembre.

Hay varios otros cambios de política en Play Store que entrarán en vigencia en las próximas semanas y meses. Muchos de ellos están dirigidos a desarrolladores, pero algunos pueden afectar las aplicaciones de consumo. Uno de ellos, que entrará en vigor el 31 de agosto, prohibirá las aplicaciones que «proporcionen afirmaciones de salud engañosas que contradigan el consenso médico existente o que puedan dañar a los usuarios». Google también dice desde el 30 de septiembre que todas las aplicaciones que ofrecen suscripciones deberían permitir a los usuarios «cancelar sus suscripciones fácilmente desde la aplicación».
