Samsung presenta el sensor de cámara de 200MP que usará el Galaxy S23 Ultra

Samsung ha anunciado el ISOCELL HP2, un sensor de cámara de 200MP que usará el Galaxy S23 Ultra. Viene con «tecnología de píxeles mejorada y capacidad total para impresionantes imágenes móviles en los teléfonos inteligentes premium del mañana».

Con ISOCELL HP2, Samsung logró empaquetar 200 millones de píxeles de 0,6 micrómetros (um) en un formato óptico de 1/1,3 de pulgada. Para darle una perspectiva, ese es un tamaño de sensor que se usa comúnmente en las cámaras principales de 108 MP para teléfonos inteligentes. Así que este es todo un logro de Samsung.

Este sensor de cámara utiliza la tecnología de agrupamiento de píxeles de Samsung, Tetra²pixel, cuando toma fotos en entornos con poca luz. Produce una imagen de 50MP de 1.2um o una imagen de 12.5MP de 2.4um. Esencialmente une cuatro de los 16 píxeles adyacentes.

Este sensor de cámara también puede producir un video de 8K a aproximadamente 33 MP. Cambia al modo 1.2um 50MP en ese caso, por lo que el recorte se mantiene al mínimo. Permite video 8K a 30 fps.

Este sensor de cámara también utiliza la nueva tecnología Dual Vertical Transfer Gate (D-VTG) de Samsung. Esa tecnología está destinada a reducir las imágenes descoloridas cuando se dispara en entornos brillantes.

También se usa Super QPD, y esto permite que el sensor use todos sus 200 millones de píxeles para enfocar con poca luz. La cantidad de recursos de enfoque requeridos se agrupa por cuatro píxeles adyacentes para reconocer los cambios de patrones tanto horizontales como verticales. De esa manera, la cámara puede ofrecer un enfoque automático más rápido y preciso.

La función DSG de Samsung ahora está disponible en un modo de 50MP

Este sensor de cámara también ofrece la función DSG de Samsung en un modo de 50MP por primera vez. Esa función aplica dos valores de conversión separados a la señal analógica recibida a nivel de píxel. En última instancia, eso debería mejorar el rendimiento de HDR.

Aquí también, la solución Smart-ISO Pro HDR es parte del paquete. Combina diferentes niveles de lecturas ISO de una sola exposición. Básicamente, eso permite que la cámara tome imágenes de 12.5MP y video 4K a 60 fps en HDR.

Samsung ha confirmado que ISOCELL HP2 ha entrado en producción en masa, lo que es una especie de confirmación de que se incluirá en el Galaxy S23 Ultra, como sugieren los rumores. El Galaxy S23 Ultra se hará oficial el 1 de febrero.
