Samsung sorprende a los usuarios del Galaxy S6 con una nueva actualización

El Samsung Galaxy S6 se lanzó a principios de 2015. Siete años es bastante viejo para un teléfono inteligente, pero aparentemente no demasiado viejo para una nueva actualización a los ojos de Samsung.

De acuerdo a club galáctico, algunos propietarios de Galaxy S6 en los Países Bajos y Bélgica ven actualizaciones en sus dispositivos. Parece que en los Países Bajos, los teléfonos Galaxy S6, S6 Edge y S6 Edge Plus, comprados a Vodafone, están recibiendo las versiones de firmware G920FXXU6EVG1, G925FXXU6EVG3 y G928FXXU5CVG3, respectivamente. En cuanto a Bélgica, los propietarios de dispositivos S6 y S6 Edge Plus desbloqueados también recibieron una actualización.

El mes pasado, informamos que Samsung lanzó una actualización para los modelos Galaxy S7 y S8 que solucionaba problemas de GPS. Si bien el GPS no se menciona en los detalles de la actualización de software del Galaxy S6, sí menciona mejoras de estabilidad, corrección de errores, características nuevas y/o mejoradas y mejoras de rendimiento. Además, el tamaño de la actualización del Galaxy S6 es de 13 MB, que es mucho más pequeño que las actualizaciones implementadas para el S7 (31 MB) y el S8 (420 MB).

No está claro qué hay en la actualización del S6, pero es posible que solo se trate de mejoras en el GPS del dispositivo. También es posible que la actualización llegue a otros países. Lamentablemente, al igual que con el S7 y el S8, esta actualización no incluye un parche de seguridad.

Si bien esta actualización sorprende un poco, parece continuar una tendencia que Samsung ha estado siguiendo últimamente. Además de estas actualizaciones, Samsung también lanzó actualizaciones para Galaxy A7, S5 Neo, S10e y Note 10 no hace mucho tiempo.
