USB4 versión 2.0 es compatible con versiones anteriores y se acelera el doble de rápido

USB Promoter Group ahora ha presentado oficialmente un nuevo estándar para USB4 denominado versión 2.0 que mantiene la compatibilidad con versiones anteriores del cable y aumenta las velocidades de transferencia al doble de velocidad que el estándar anterior. Eso se basa en informes recientes luego de un anuncio oficial del grupo.

Por supuesto, los cables USB tipo C que admiten USB4 versión 2.0 son compatibles con versiones anteriores. Eso significa que seguirán funcionando con USB4 1.0, USB 3.2, USB 2.0, Thunderbolt 3 y conectores más antiguos para USB Type-C. Del mismo modo, los cables USB tipo C más antiguos son compatibles con los puertos USB4 versión 2.0. Aunque sin la velocidad que se espera del nuevo estándar.

¿Qué tan rápido es USB4 versión 2.0 y qué más aporta, además de ser el doble de rápido?
